I think, there should be a mandatory rule to wear only organic and sustainable clothing during summers (haha, just joking)! That natural and breathable feeling you get in organic clothes, just can’t be described in words. Natural fabrics always stand out with their inherent earthy vibe and eco-friendly quality. I have always talked about sustainable fashion and handlooms and I will continue to do so, since the topic is so close to my heart.
Many of us prefer wearing heavy embellished clothing during festivals, I for one love to keep it light and especially as it’s summer time, nothing can be more relaxing than organic handloom clothes. One can make simple looks more festive and elegant with a dash of jewelry and accessory. It is definitely an offbeat style which is rarely seen on festive occasions but then a minimal festive look is my personal preference.
Hence, keeping the weather in mind and the festivals around the corner, I planned to play with organic clothing as a festive wear. The style is Indo western which came out perfectly as planned. An off white cape top was my first pick to add a spin of difference to my festive look. To elevate my style to the level T, I paired it with tulip dhoti pants which are a new take on the traditional dhoti pants. The finishing touches were a pair of jhumki earrings and yellow flats.
I think this is a perfect amalgamation of summer colors with festive wear. Keep it light and easy this festive season and you are sure to stun everyone!
Style tip: You can also style your dhoti pants with a long kurta and layer with a gilet to perk up your ethnic look.
