Ethnic Fusion at Asian Designer Week

My love for Indian handlooms and textiles is undying! I love trying fashion trends every now and then, but Indian Fashion is my soul. Beautiful handloom sarees, suits, kurtas in rich cotton and silks are timeless and evergreen. It gives me a sense of pride to wear my culture and tradition.

Our designers are making real efforts to bring our lost handloom industry to the forefront which is applaudable.  Indian textiles are sustainable and environment-friendly; a reason we all must include this conscious clothing in our life as consumers.

Mixing Indian and Western styles is nothing new, I for one love wearing Ethnic Fusion. Stylish cotton or linen kurtas with jeans is a classic way of wearing ethnic fusion. I wear it quite often and this time I wore it to Asian Designer Week. The fact it was a fashion show by Anupamaa Dayal which was about vibrant Indian bridal wear, I chose to keep close to the theme.

I wore a cotton mul mul tunic with a vibrant patch work and paired it with a DIY frayed jeans. To elevate the ethnic look I wore some Kutchi style jewelry and colorful jutties. That is my kind of ethnic fusion, hope you like it!

Style tip: It is always a good idea to wear lots of silver jewelry to elevate an ethnic fusion style!
