Dark Floral Romance

It’s the month of romance and the excitement that someone will make our day special, just keeps us floating on the clouds! And girls will always be girls whether it is a wedding, party or festival we love to plan our dresses and looks ahead of time as we need another reason to shop (isn’t that true!). Hence it is no different for Valentine’s day too!

Personally, I am not too much into Valentine’s day celebration now. Yes, I used to be when I was in school and college but now that I am married I think for me any day can be Valentine’s day! But still, sometimes we all want to feel special and go out on a romantic dinner with our partner so dressing special is always on the mind. I personally love elegant and sophisticated style at dinners or parties with some chic element in my whole look to make it unique and more appealing.

Red and black is definitely a classic pick for the occasion (check out my post here mentioning the same) making it all the more romantic. This look is another take on the red and black dressing which I am trying to like more with time. I thought to make layering some fun with an interesting combination of floral print, net and dark colors. A dark maroon floral tunic which I thought of pairing with denim but then it would have been too predictable. So instead, I paired with a black net skirt which added an interesting texture to the look. And to make it more chic and classy for Valentine’s dinner I layered over with a long black coat. My last touch to make this look a bit bohemian and me was a silver choker necklace. Rest all the finishing touches were kept close to the dark colors like black heels and maroon lip shade. This to me is a perfect illustration of romance with some dark shades and blossoming florals (it’s spring guys!) or dark floral romance!

Style tip:  You can skip the coat and layer the tunic with 2 or 3 silver necklaces or you can wear a pair of denim with pumps and go for a sleek hairdo!

Let me know, what you are planning to wear this Valentine’s day in the comment section below!
